I don’t think it is a secret that we all knew that cocaine, heroin, and other drugs destroyed the civil rights movement in the late 60’s and 70’s. When we came together for one cause, drugs hit our communities so hard that we couldn’t resist. A few black people got rich, most became hooked on drugs, and many died from too many drugs.

But one angle you may not know about is the war in South America. This is where most of the drugs came from. Could it be that the United States really were at a war with South America and the black community was a casualty of war. Listen to this and you decide.
