The Grand Jury in the Michael Brown case has come to a conclusion. The long anticipated decision will be known tonight.
According to the Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon’s office, they will hold a press conference tonight and announce the decision of the Grand Jury on weather police officer Darren Wilson will be brought to trial for the killing of unarmed, teenager Michael Brown.
Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon arrived in the area on Monday evening and was expected to hold a news conference at 5:30 p.m. local time, “calling for peace and discussing preparations to protect the public and free speech, in anticipation of the announcement of the grand jury decision,” according to a release from his office. – Source: Wall Street Journal
UPDATE: The time has been changed to 8pm CST
There has been no indication if the Grand Jury are going to pursue charges against officer Wilson or not, but much speculation is in the air. With the local police, national guard and community on high alert, many are wondering if that is an indication Officer Wilson will not be charged and they are preparing for the worse.
