The audacity of some people, the audacity of some institutions!!!!! I just can’t, not today! Today is supposed to be a day of reflection, part mourning but part celebration and part planning for how the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. must be pushed on.

BUT my mood has been seriously thrown into a loop after the FBI of all institutions had the nerve to put their hat in the ring in the round of honoring the great man on his great day.

This is what they wrote on Twitter

“Today, the FBI honors the life and work of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A quote from Dr. King is etched in stone at the FBI Academy’s reflection garden in Quantico as a reminder to all students and FBI employees: “The time is always right to do what is right.” #MLKDay”

WHAT!!!!

Shaun King put it quite nicely saying:

“? This is real. They just posted it. They ridiculed, harassed, infiltrated, and tried to destroy this man’s life. Many experts believe they planned the assassination. They sent letters to King telling him to kill himself before they ruined him. And THEY HAVE NEVER APOLOGIZED”

Yep, this is the same FBI who allegedly tried to bully MLK into killing himself, who constantly harassed him, his friends and his family.

Surely an apology needs to come LONG before they have the right to be acting like this?
