Back on November 12th last year Dave Chappelle hosted his first ever Saturday Night Live. It was a kind of comeback for him, one people were ecstatic about! And during his monologue he said something that didn’t sit well with many. He said:
“I’m wishing Donald Trump luck, and I’m going to give him a chance, and we the historically disenfranchised demand that he give us one too.”
Now, most of us didn’t like that so much but even I thought, maybe there is something to his words, maybe I am jumping the gun in my feelings!
Well…. Turns out that Trump is a disaster and Chappelle obviously agrees and he has apologised for screweing up and telling people that!
On Monday Chappelle was at the Robin Hood Foundation benefit in New York City. He reportedly told the crowd that he regrets his words on SNL and that:
“I was the first guy on TV to say ‘Give Trump a chance.’ I f―ked up. Sorry,”

I always have respect for a man that number one gives people a chance and number two respects and admits their mistakes.
