Viola Davis is captivating on screen, there are very few in the business as profoundly talented and engaging as she. A true master. So why the hell has it taken so long for her to get a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame?…. Well, my best guess is because being a black women makes these things a hell of a lot harder!

Still, her name will be there and very deservingly so.

She recently received a Golden Globe nomination for her performances in “Fences,”. The movie will be hitting cinemas across the country on Christmas Day. I cannot wait to see it!

Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said in a press release on Monday:

“Viola is one of the actresses who always mesmerize fans with her talent. She is amazing and we are thrilled that she will grace our world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame,”

The ceremony will take place on January 5 at 11:30 am PST and will be streamed live on the Walk of Fame website.
