Preferential treatment of police officers knows no bounds. And apparently, the judicial system respects this treatment as well.

Officer Ray Tensing of the University of Cincinnati police force was indicted Wednesday for one count of murder and one count of voluntary manslaughter for shooting unarmed Sam DuBose in the head on July 19th after a traffic stop. DuBose didn’t have a front license plate on his car.

Tensing faces life in prison for the murder. However, the judicial system didn’t feel he was a flight risk and gave him a chance to post bail and walk out of jail.

Tensing, a University of Cincinnati police officer, appeared in Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas in prison stripes and handcuffs. During the proceedings that lasted just minutes, Judge Megan Shanahan read the two charges and set bond at $1 million, which drew cheers from members of DuBose’s family in court. The outburst prompted a strong rebuke from the judge.

The ABCNews continues about Tensing..

[ADSENSE2]He was placed on suicide watch but released Thursday evening on $100,000 cash, acceptable in lieu of the bond.. He was not part of the general population, officials said.

“I think he’s relieved, as anyone would be,” said Major Charmaine McGuffey, of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

Since Tensing’s arrest, another body camera video has been released showing the perspective of the other officer who arrived at the scene. Neither video support Tensing’s claim that he was under threat of being run over by DuBose’s car.

The two officers that arrived at the scene and collaborated Tensing’s story were placed on administrative leave Thursday as a result of an internal investigation, aka common sense knew they were lying as well. However, these two have not been charged with being an accessory to the murder…yet. (Our fingers are crossed this will happen.

The black community seems to be frustrated and confused over the preferrential treatment of this cold blooded murderer, who clearly just wanted to shoot and kill this black man. This narrative of police fearing for their lives and killing us has been going too long.

SOUND OFF: How do you feel knowing Tensing has been released on bail?
