Andre Johnson spent 12 years at the Houstoon Texans and even though he now can be seen playing Wide Receiver for the Idianapolis Colts.

However he showed his love for Houston this year with another shopping spree in conjunction. This spree was for Harris County’s Child Protective Services kids.

Last year the kids had 80 seconds (Andre’s jersey number) but this year he is number 81 so the kids got 81 seconds to grab whatever they wanted!

Johnson couldn’t be there in person but he facetimed with the kids. talking about the event to the Houston Chronicle. he said:

“I am just blessed to be in the position to be able to make a difference in the lives of these kids during the holidays,” and “I always look forward to this event each year because I am able to show my appreciation to my community and give back.”

Last year the kids spent around $16k but this year they managed $18,030.25. Maybe the extra second helped!

This really was a cool gesture.
