STORY DEVELOPING: A gunman reportedly opened fire at members of Congress practicing for a charity baseball game in Alexandria, Virginia.
House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and some staffers were said to have been hit.
The Republicans were practising for a game on Friday against Democrat counterparts.
The suspect has also reportedly been caught and is in custodu. At present a motive or any reason is unknown.

Republican members were practicing for the Congressional Baseball Game, an annual charity event hosted by Roll Call in which Republicans play Democrats at Nationals Park. The game is scheduled for Thursday.
Democrats and Republicans practice at different fields.
Freshman Rep. Nanette Barragán (D-Calif.) tweeted that the Democrats were practicing at the same time and ended their practice.
“Dems join in prayer for our R colleagues and those hit,” Barragán tweeted.
Republican members were tweeting prayers for Scalise.
