Robert Nesta Marley, popularly referred to as Bob Marley, may have been dead for nearly 35 years now but it appears the highly celebrated legendary reggae singer might have come to life recently. Well, we are not talking about a case of reincarnation but rather a commemoration of his legacy as depicted in a bronze life size statue that has recently been erected in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa. The statue that stands at a round about in the Gerji area may be the closest thing many of us might ever get to see of this legend.
Ethiopia holds such a huge sentimental importance to reggae musicians and as such, there could not be a better place to have the statue erected. With his music sweeping across the world and resonating with people from all walks of life, we hope people will find a reason to visit Addis and spend some intimate time with what has come to be known as the only notable statue of Bob.
