Trouble may be brewing for Clinton that may affect her chances in the 2016 presidential race.
On Wednesday, Ashley Williams, an activist for Black Lives Matter, paid $500 to attend a fundraiser for Hillary Clinton in South Carolina. During Clinton’s speech, Williams came out of the crowd holding a sign stating “We have to bring them to heel.” This refers to a statement Clinton made in 1996 at Keene State College in support of the 1994 crime bill.
This bill included “Mandatory Sentencing” and the “Three Strikes Law”.
“They’re not just gangs of kids anymore. They are often the kinds of kids that are called super-predators. No conscience, no empathy. We can talk about why they ended up that way, but first we have to bring them to heel.
Once Clinton took notice of Williams, she went over to read her sign. “We want you to apologize for mass incarcerations,” Williams demanded, “I’m not a super-predator, Hillary Clinton!” It was then, she was escorted out of the room with some supporters of Clinton in the background commenting that Williams actions were “inappropriate”.
This happening then formed a trending topic on twitter, #WhichHillary, calling out Clinton’s hypocrisy.

How this impacts the Clinton’s chances of winning the primary remains to be seen, but this development might just trigger a wave of discussion about her comments on the long forgotten issue, something that the she would’ve wanted to avoid at this juncture.
