This week at the World Championships. Black girls, Simone Biles and Gabby Douglas, dominated the other gymnast placing first and second place in the coveted All-Around competition. Douglas is the reigning Olympic champion in the competition, but Biles stole the show.

Simone Biles and Gabby DouglasHeld in Glasgow, Scotland, Thursday, Simone Biles made history by becoming the first woman to win three straight World all-around titles. And according to NBC Sports, she beat 2nd place Douglas by 1,083 points.

“I just keep blowing my own mind,” Biles, who said she has a variation of that phrase as her phone background, told media in Glasgow. “If I could crawl out of my skin and see it, it would be amazing.”

“On beam, I think I gave the whole world a heart attack, as well as myself out there,”Biles said in a USA Gymnastics interview. “Then floor, I had never gone out of bounds, but I guess there is a first for everything.”

Despite her mis-steps, mistakes and errors, Biles was able to prevail and make history.

Don’t feel bad for Gabby Douglas. This is a wonderful showing after taking two years off from the sport after winning her Olympic title. She became the first Olympic women’s all-around champ to come back to a World all-around and medal since 1981.

“I’ll take it,” said Douglas, who last year roomed with Biles at her first national team camp since the Olympics. “I really wanted to prove everyone that my comeback was real. It wasn’t fake. It wasn’t for the fame.”

One thing is for sure, these two young ladies are dynamite and we can’t wait to see what they are going to do together at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

Sound Off: How amazing are these two young women?
