At 2 years and 11 months Daliah read her first book, the moment was captured and posted to YouTube and that was the beginning for this little Girl’s love of books! Now, at 4, she has been given a special visit to the Library of Congress and even got the chance to be a librarian during her visit!
Daliyah Marie Arana of Gainesville, Georgia, has always loved books and this voracious reading habit is what earned her a personal invitation along with a special tour from Carla Hayden, the 14th Librarian of Congress and the first woman and the first African-American to hold the position.
During her day she even sat in a meeting where she suggested they put in whiteboards in the hallways so visiting children could practise writing! That’s really a cool suggestion!
You can see her in photos below and reading (when she was 2) in the video below that!
It was fun to have 4-year-old Daliyah Marie Arana of Gainesville, GA as "Librarian For The Day." She's already read more than a 1,000 books. pic.twitter.com/MQfwlUrakO
