The picture of the three young black handcuffed for selling water went viral and angered a lot of people. These young entrepreneurs were trying to make a few extra dollars on a hot day but instead were humiliated by undercover cops because they didn’t have permits to sell.
Well something good has come from this unfortunate situation. Raymond Bell is training two of the teens, Nolan White and Devin Gatewood, for their new summer jobs through the H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Excel) project.
“I’m an entrepreneur myself and I love seeing young people having an interest in working for themselves,” said Bell.
Bell is teaching the two 17-year-olds about information technology so that they can use those skills to become iPhone technicians.
