The media frenzy surrounding Bill Cosby’s pending litigation has seemingly subsided over the last few months. However, recent reports have confirmed the comedian has been rendered “housebound with a degenerative eye condition”.

Cosby has been battling the eye disorder known as Keratoconus which thins the cornea and causes it to bulge. The effects of the disease have become increasingly apparent in pictures taken in recent years. Monique Presley, Cosby’s lawyer, publically confirmed his condition as early as last year. Symptoms have since worsened and ironically, comes at a time when Cosby has received approval from a judge to sue one of the alleged rape victims, Andrea Constand.

The former Temple University employee initially filed a civil lawsuit against Cosby in 2005 and upon settlement of the case in 2006, Constand agreed to a confidentiality clause that has since been breached.

If the suit is ruled in Cosby’s favor, Constand may be ordered to remit the damages received in 2006.
