You may even end up discovering a new passion, gaining new skills, and even doing something you have never done before. However, most of us travel on a budget. So how can you get the best of both worlds? Here are three budget friendly places you can enjoy in the US.

San Diego, California

The city lies on the Pacific coast of California and it’s popular for its warm climate, parks and a 70 mile coastline. You will be enchanted by its diverse attractions including gardens, museums, and Colonial-style architecture.

There is no shortage of things to do in San Diego. The Old Town San Diego State Historic Park provides a unique experience that is not to be missed. Visitors also enjoy sunning and surfing on the expansive beaches. Be sure to get to SeaWorld where you can have up close and personal experiences watching killer whales, dolphins, sea lions and other marine life. There are also some incredible rides to savor including carnival rides and roller coasters.

The San Diego zoo is also a sight to behold with its wide range of exotic animals. Pandas also thrive here. It is a hilly place with animal enclosures that will surely give you some memorable moments.

The Old Town State Historic Park doesn’t charge an admission fee which mean visitors can visit for free. The park has a rich history of the earliest Americans and Mexicans and offers great fun, shopping, and dining here.

Santa Fe, New Mexico

Pueblo-style architecture dominates this city. Do not miss out on the creative arts found here. This old city has some incredible cuisine too. Many visitors here call the city a living work of art especially because of the colorful markets and other unique features.

The De Vargas street house for instance, one of the oldest houses in the US, is located here. Loretto Chapel which is famous for its “miracle” staircase is also found in the city so be sure to learn more about its history while you take in the sights, sounds, and scenery of this beautiful city. Other attractions include the famous Santa Fe Railyard and the Wander Plaza.

Austin, Texas

Are you a music lover? Then Austin is the place for you. There are over 250 music venues in Austin that cross all musical genres, so there is a little something for everyone. The city has many iconic venues including the Mohawk, Emo’s, and the Continental club.

In addition to the musical offerings, Austin also has the Lady Bird Hike, where you can exercise as you savor the magic of nature. Complete your excursion in the city by heading to Lady Bird Lake to cool off and unwind after a long day. You can also go to the famous Allen’s Boots and get yourself some cowboy boots.
