Artist Sends Black Rosie Image To New Yorker On A Whim And Now It’s Their Feb. Cover!

This is quite the whirlwind for artist Abigail Gray Swartz. She sent an image on a whim to the New Yorker and hours later they asked for revisions and then approved it for their Feb. cover image!

The image was based on WWII icon Rosie the Riveter but features a woman of color, with her proud pussy hat to show her solidarity with the women’s marches!
