The motherland has had a tough time but in recent years we are seeing more and more signs of strengthening nations, less corruption, more advancement, people rising.
And now, Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama has made an announcement that could benefit many other African nations.
On March 6th he gave a speech during his Independence Day State of the Nation address. He said that starting in July, visas will be given on arrival to citizens of all 54 African Union member states.
This is big news. The African Development Bank has reported that currently only 25% of African Countries offer visas on arrival to other African nationals.
In the speech he also urged citizens to learn French to help create unity across the continent.
These open doors are certainly a forward step for the country and the continent, it’s unclear if business visas are included yet but we can hope.
