There are far too many negative stories and images about how black fathers are not their for their children or not worth anything. Therefore, when we find everyday stories about regular dads going above and beyond for their children we love to highlight them.
Reggie Hood is a dad. He loves his daughter. They were searching for doll houses online and in the stores, but didn’t find anything they loved. When his daughter, Rashiya, said they were all too small, that sprung dad into action to build one himself.
He went to work showing off his carpentry skills and love for his daughter. Not sure how old she is, but hope she appreciates the time, effort and energy Reggie is willing to put in for her. Seems like he is a great dad, thus we believe she will.
Via his Facebook page, he posted his progress.
He also states that he isn’t finished yet. In fact, in the comment section under the video, he mentioned that he is interested in adding an elevator and few more things for her enjoyment.
Some asked him if he was taking orders, but creating a doll house business wasn’t his motivation…providing
something unique, special and extraordinary for his daughter was. HOWEVER, he did say the right price could make him reconsider.
My Daughter Said All the dollhouses we seen online and in stores were too small, So I had to build her one.
