Every decade of a 40-year generation that goes by carries its own peculiar nuances.

In this hour, we are rewitnessing a resurgence of the “Black Conscious” movement a’la “Marcus Garvey.” And as it was done in the past, some very not-knowledgeable ‘black’ people are having an issue with the existence of this news-bearing platform that we call Urban Intellectuals.

I can only guess that since Black America does not have the leeway to go after those who are bringing us down both wholesale and monolithically, we have a tendency to take out the sins of others who are targeting us against ourselves.

It’s called “post-traumatic slave syndrome.” PTSS.

Short Story Shorter

We had the “patriotic” American 1950s (gunz, guts, glory … all that nationalistic BS); then came the “question everything assume nothing” 1960s (War, what is it good for?); then the confused 1970s when the spiritual Hebrews ‘wandered in the wilderness’ for far too long; then, the dated 1980s when romantic love -once exchanged for feminist Woman Power- came back into vogue; then, the refined 1990s when only six words were on everyone’s lips: “Madonna,” “Michael Jackson,” “Prince,” and “Whitney Houston”; and finally, the whimsical early 2000s that led us past “They say two thousand zero zero party over, oops, out of time…So tonight I’m gonna party like it’s nineteen ninety-nine..” and into a long stretch past 911 and into the post-911 apocalypse, the time of the Gentiles that changed the surface of American economics and politics for good.

We Shall Overcome or Shall We be Outdone?

Once the ‘feel good we’re all Americans” stuff was over with so quickly after 911 and Americans proved that they actually could be worth a crap if they truly wanted to, the gloves came off, the fists came back out and no one ever put the gauntlet and crucible of honor back on again. It will take another 911 to experience that feel-good moment again, even for a split second.

Enter the Teen 2000s, “two thousand zero zero one zero nine.”

The Sloppy Seconds Is Now In Command…but only for the moment

Donald Trump, America’s reigning ‘sloppy seconds’ behind Hillary Clinton, calls himself President of the United States though he never won the 2016 election.

Like all who are deeply engaged with toxic addicts of all kinds, even those who are their mental health codependents, the rest of us have to look at the ship wreckage and shithole nation that Trump vomits out daily after a night of twittering while mentally imbibed, and wonder how we managed to trade an iPhone and Cadillac of a man for two paper cups with a string and a broke-down horse that needs to be put out to pasture?

Then there is the US that is the U.S.: We often trade off iPhones for two paper cups and a string.

We are only one heartbeat removed from where we were in the late 1800s at this point. We can call ourselves anything we like … Black, colored, Negro, African-American, Afroasiatic, Pan-African, Muslim, Kemetian, Moors, Hebrew Israelite, et al … it doesn’t matter any more.

When it comes down to commonality among our leadership, we did not overcome, we got outdone. We still practice meritorious manumission, but this time without the Anglo rewards.

The Christians versus The Conscious

I’m witnessing ‘This v. That’ taking a strange fruit of a shape in today’s Black community. We’re lynching ourselves with it, too.

Whereas the Christians seem to fear being outdone by self-proclaimed atheists who call other Black people cray-cray for going to church, tithing, and praying (allegedly praying for their enemies to remain in power over them?); and whereas, the Black Christian community, so often beset by many political and socioeconomic lies, strike back against the so-called “Black conscious” community by calling it sacrilegious in its alleged attempts to “take over” or take “down” the Christian church: Should there be such a fight between being Black & Conscious and Black & Christian?

Or is it a wasted conversation?

The Revolution is on the Balance and Counterbalance

Summer’s coming, and it’s already hot enough in the Black community without someone starting yet ANOTHER fight WE DON’T NEED.

We need to gather our corporate defenses together in order to deal with outright killers, PROVEN killers, who have raged against us for nothing other than the color of our skin.

Black conscious people, the people who believe in God Almighty are never going to stop doing that. We’re the ones -Black people- who brought God-consciousness into the Black mind, and then allowed white lies to ‘take over’ what belonged to us from the very start.

Like the silver and the gold, they took our religions and turned that into a sloppy seconds mess, too.

Get used to it, Conscious People, because Black Christians are not going anywhere. Nothing you say will change that and they don’t foresee trading in one God just to obey another … you. White people made that mistake, making themselves a thing to be worshiped and feared, and now it’s coming back on them with a vengeance with Trump leading their way to their own self-derived hell.

Black Christians, stop telling lies on the Black conscious community.

Nobody in it is trying to “take over” your churches. Period.

Trust, most of them are very well aware of your church’s fear of losing money to pay those white banks to keep loaning you money to make you look like something you are not.

In the end, your own Bible, your own scriptures that came from your own Black ancestors, says you are in the wrong … that you have no standing whatsoever, because you come off like an extension of the worldly people that you say you are against.

Wherever an atheist is the best atheist they can be, and whenever a demon practices its beliefs unabashed and without shame (#Trump), you who call yourselves by the Lord’s Name are full of excuses for why you can’t do your level best to represent that Name — and that is how you get beaten out BY THE WORLD every time.

If you’re not one of them, don’t say it – act like it.

The Lord, Your Lord God, says “Be ye perfect as I am perfect.”

It’s not impossible.

If you aren’t perfected in Christ, then you are either still feeling guilt you should have been delivered from by now, or you are saving up some of your past crap in case you need God to “forgive” you later on when you decide to slip up and fall back on your old ways just because you need a sin quick-fix.

If you are called of the Lord, you have NO excuse to behave like the world. And you certainly cannot close the doors on people who often BEHAVE in a more christ-like manner than folks in the church.

The Christian Church is not YET the sanctuary it claims to be. It mostly acts only as an extension of the sins and crimes on the outside of its doors rather than a safe haven FROM IT.

If it sounds harsh, that’s because you -as a child of God- are called to a Higher Standard, and you need to prove that not only to yourself, but to the God that you say that you serve.

Choose Ye This Day

Conscious Community, Black Christians aren’t here for you to find something to beat up on and blame for the downfall of the Black community.

It isn’t weakness that contributed to it, but a lack of understanding about our Proper Position in the lands in which we abide.

In or outside of the church, Black people are in some deep doo in the United States of America and worldwide, and ‘beat up a communal Christian’ isn’t helping matters.

Your choices are your own. They have consequences. But we have no more time left for another shade of ‘divide & conquer’.

Rodney King didn’t need to ask if “we” can get along with “them,” he should have asked if Black people can learn to get along with one another. Maybe that is what he really meant.

If we have to pit whether or not we ‘overcame’ in society against whether or not we are ‘redeemed’ in the realm of Christianity, we might as well forget all of it.

We don’t need any more of their lost narratives and false promises in our lives, we need our own real narratives and truths to make all of that sludge fade away for all eternity.

The Black Conscious “WOKE” community is not allowed to down-trod the Black Christian community, especially not when white-ish #TrumpNation wants ALL our Black asses dead, and have said so and don’t care how we feel about it.

They don’t give a freak if we are Christian or not, all they care about is that we are the “raccoons”/COONS that they want out of their basements, even if all they have is a fat lying white-jesus bastard to get the job done.

The Road Home

Ghana has offered dual-citizenships for Africans and African-Americans of the Diasporas whose ancestors were enslaved in North America and in the West from 1564 to 1865. Hint: #ThatBeUs.

Also, the African Union is now developing a passport that frees up travel and movement between each of the 54 nations on its own Continent.

Maybe it’s time NOW to take hold of our spiritual and moral beginnings and roots, as well as our rights and origins, which at the moment dangle in a closet, held up by nothing more than a temporary coat hanger.

My People Who Do Not Know We Are a People, I pray that we don’t create another Trumpean distraction between Christianity and the Black Conscious community, or between redemption and overcoming.

In this hour, in this dispensation of momentary grace and mercy, we need ALL of who we are, not the broken shards of white supremacy only to be broken even more.

We speak to the ones who are, and they KNOW who they are and they like it and have said so. The rage inside comes out in many different ways and usually results in our deaths and in us being demeaned just to make them feel better about their own hatred.

A place of balance should be found in our own communities. Christ was not only one of the biggest liberals and socialists who ever lived on the planet, but The Bible itself is the biggest Black History book ever known to mankind.

There are many other Black History books out there, but this is the most famous one of all times, translated in all languages because we come from all languages. They have only one language, but Black history is WORLD history.

We didn’t make a rainbow, we ARE the rainbow – the hope of that certain promise to the entire world. The more they seek to destroy us, the worse off they become. The more they “shock” us, the stronger we become. That is mathematical certainty. The more they fear, the closer they get to the thing they fear most. That is a psychological fact.

Their racism has become their own solitary hell and they are the only ones who will have to live with it, forever. It is no longer our problem. It is ALL theirs.

Church, we know you need that tithe money, but it wasn’t your money to begin with.

Conscious community, we know you need our People to understand who they are without the high-falutin’ lies that came out of Rome’s tainted version of the Hebrew gospels given to them only by an act of grace.

However … no matter what you say about it, Christianity was never a white man’s religion in the first place. That never happened, ever. Those were your OWN people who started that religion, along with many others, incuding Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam.

There was a time when people who cursed God just dropped dead instantly. The rule of Mosaic law reigned in the land. Now, it is nothing more or less than an act of grace that there is room for forgiveness, even for that.

God gives you the choice and the right NOT to believe in Him, so no one else has anything to say about that, either.

All choices have ultimate eternal consequences. Just be aware, as well as WOKE.

You’ve been on vacation for two weeks, you come home, and your basement is infested with raccoons. Hundreds of rabid, messy, mean raccoons have overtaken your basement.

You want them gone immediately. You call the city and 4 different exterminators, but nobody can handle the job. But there is this one guy and he guarantees to get rid of them, so you hire him. You don’t care if the guy smells, you don’t care if the guy swears, you don’t care if he’s an alcoholic, you don’t care how many times he’s been married, you don’t care if he has a plumber’s crack, you simply want those raccoons gone! You want your problem fixed! He’s the guy. He’s the best!

Here’s why we want Trump.

Yes he’s a bit of a jerk; yes he’s an egomaniac; but we don’t care. The country is a mess because politicians suck, the Republicans and Democrats can be two-faced and gutless, and illegals are everywhere. We want it all fixed!
