There have been several deaths in central and South Georgia attributed to the use of what victims thought was Percocet. There have been at least 10 deaths and others have been hospitalized after using these “press pills.” The mock Percocet pills were made by crushing up Percocet and mixing it with other drugs such as fentanyl creating a lethal combination.

Authorities are concerned because they do not know how many pills have been distributed. Although these press pills are currently affecting central and South Georgia, officials said this epidemic could spend to other cities.
