Lee was the Pastor of Michael Brown Sr, at the Flood Christian Church in Ferguson. He had baptized Michael Brown Sr. on Nov. 23, 2014 just a week before a Missouri grand jury declined to indict Police Officer Darren Wilson in the extrajudicial killing of Brown’s son, 19-year-old Michael Brown Jr.
The evening the church was up in flames as protests erupted.
Lee was very vocal about the need for Justice in the death of Michael Brown, and had received over 70 death threats. He blamed white supremacist for burning down his beloved church, a church he had built from his own savings.
A number of figures connected to Michael Brown and the protests have been dying recently, some in suspicious circumstances.
