The horrible death of 15-year-old Jordan Edwards at the hands of police, the changing story, and the lies was a terrible media story, one that in some ways seemed unique as the media actually paid attention. However, it’s not unique, during the month of May alone, two other 15-year-old boys were shot and killed by police, both within questionable circumstances.
Sean King wrote about these three young men and brought it to my attention (thanks, Team as ever for your sterling and admirable work).
So, here is a basic rundown of these boys below BUT you can get much more detail in Sean’s story KING: Three unarmed 15 year-old-boys killed by U.S. cops in one month — but only one case saw the much-needed coverage.
Jordan Edwards was shot repeatedly with a rifle in Balch Springs as it was claimed that the car he was traveling in was driving at officers. This was proved a fabrication by body cam footage and an investigation is underway.
On 9th May in Bridgeport, Connecticut 15-year-old Jayson Negron was shot and killed because he ran over an officer and pinned him to the ground with the car… At least that was the first story. He was said to have been shot in the head and died from a single wound…. Again a lie!
Someone filmed Jayson wriggling on the floor, no head wound, actually shot in the chest. He was left on the ground for 6 hours and bled out. It was also not true that the officer was run over, he was supposedly about to be sucked under the car…. So we can guess Jason was driving one of those street vacuum cleaner trucks right!
Then on Saturday, May 27th, 15-year-old Darius Smith was repeatedly shot and killed by an off-duty U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agent. The off-duty officer claimed Smith and other boys tried to rob him, in the middle of the day, in one of the busiest areas of Los Angeles County. Another story that obviously doesn’t add up!
So, spread this far and wide, let’s not forget about the killings and murders being perpetrated by police in the USA in extremely elevated amounts and suspicious circumstances.
Until we start making these police officers understand that there will be direct and severe consequences for their actions the murders will continiue .
As an aside I would hope that when your next article is written that you have someone spell check your article . The information you’re sharing is extremely important and I for one appreciate your efforts to get the word out.
