The book chronicles the fairly unknown story of Wall Street’s first black millionaire.

Jeremiah G. Hamilton left Haiti in 1827 and defied the odds rising to the top of New York’s business world.

During a time when Hamilton could not board a train for being black he literally owned them making huge amounts of money on railroad stock. He also invested in ships, real estate and much more.

He was worth around $2 million at the time of death in 1875.

Cheadle plans to star, and is teaming up again with director Steven Baigelman whom he worked with on the Miles Davis bioptic “Miles Ahead”.

At present no further details are known about production but it sounds like an amazing story to tell.
