14 Caribbean Nations Are Suing Colonizers for Slave Trade!

by | Apr 7, 2017 | News | 1 comment

Fourteen Caribbean nations have joined forces and decided to sue former colonozers Britain, France and the Netherlads for the harm that lingers as a direct result of the slave trade.

The Associated Press reported that leaders of global consortium The Caribbean Community have put together a 10-point plan that aims to get an official public apology, all debts cancelled and further assistance (presumably monetary) for cultural and education institutions.

British Human rights company Leigh Day will be representing the consortium in the case after their win securing $21.5 million for Kenyans who were tortured under Britain during their colonial reign.
