Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. worked diligently for equal rights. I personally believe he is turning in his grave after the interview his niece did with Fox News.

It is hard to believe that a woman who is 60 plus can look at her uncle’s fight for justice and believe his solution would be to simple hold hands and pray while voting for a man who has proven himself to be sexist, racist, and a compulsive liar.

Alveda King, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece, was on Fox News talking about Congressman Lewis and promoting nonviolent conflict resolution. In her speech/interview she made some very questionable statements.

“I really agree with the President. Let’s fix Atlanta, let’s fix America. Mr. Trump, I voted for him, I understood what he meant when he said let’s roll up our sleeves together…” Alveda went on to say, “If anybody in America is fearful and tearful, pray together.

Let’s just pray, that’s what my uncle (the late Dr. King) would do today…”

Dr. King did more than just prayed, he fought for what he wanted because despite your religion you we all know that “faith without work is dead.” But worse than her telling black Americans to “just pray” and everything will be alright, is her excitement for voting for Trump.
