A Chicago Marine Corp veteran, Eugene Ciardullo, was arrested and charged with sexual misconduct. While employed at a Chicago Public School as a security guard, the Marine Corp veteran was having some sexual dealings with a young underage girl who was between thirteen and seventeen years at the time. The young teen was a student at the school he was employed at.
Ed Murillo, the Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney mentioned that the Chicago police officer maintained a friendly relationship with the underage girl, who is now eighteen, during her 2014/2015 school year. On December 15, Ciardullo quickly resigned from his place of work according to a spokesman for CPS.
When the school became aware of the allegations levied on their former security guard, they responded and did everything within their power to follow the right protocols until the law enforcement confirmed the case. Evidence was found proving that Ciardullo had been exchanging emails and chatting with the underage student on several different occasions.
Murillo confirmed that when the female student was seventeen, the police officer professed his love to her and they both had sex in motels and an empty parking lot. After being arrested, Eugene Ciardullo’s bail according to the Cook County Judge Maria Kuriakos Ciesil is $75,000. Ciardullo has also been prohibited from having contact with anyone under the age of eighteen and the proposed victim of the crime.
