I try hard to not laugh at others misfortune but when it’s so uniformed and ridiculous I can’t help crack a smile!

Bo Bice was a former American Idol finalist and he is very upset! Upset to the point of crying over what he is calling a racial incident!

See, Bo was at a Popeye’s in the Hartsfield–Jackson Airport and he is extremely upset because he says an employee called him “white boy”.

He says she said to her colleague:

“He’s already got his [order], that white boy over there,”

He posted it to facebook, threatened legal action agains Popeye’s and is upset that facebook took his post down!

He told Fox 5:

“If the tables had been turned and I had used something…and been as insensitive as to say something like that, I would be boycotted. There would be people not buying my albums, there would be people coming and picketing at my shows, and everything else,”

He also tried to say that “white boy” was as bad as the N-word.

And below you can see the video…. it was so hard for him he was moved to tears!

On Tuesday, a representative for the Popeyes released a statement saying:

Mack II Inc. is very sorry that the incident occurred and for any pain or embarrassment that Mr. Bice experienced. The company does not condone the behavior of one of our associates and we took corrective action as soon as we were made aware of the incident. Also, we will require re-training of our associates to ensure this isolated incident does not occur again. In addition, Mr. Bice has been issued an apology by the General Manager. We value all of our customers regardless of race, religion, age, disability, gender, etc.

What a mess! Seriously….. first off, white boy isn’t a slur that’s been used (to my knowledge) to subjugate and suppress an entire group of people. I can give him that it was unprofessional of the young lady but it certainly was not and can never be racist.

Is this just a shameless (and stupid) publicity grab?

I really hope the lady doesn’t lose her job over this!
