You are having a rough day, the stress of the city and it’s colorful inhabitants are grinding you down, your teeth and jaw aches from tensing…. NYC can do this to a person… The city is rough!

Then, you see a kid, sitting at a little table. There is a sign, it says EMOTIONAL ADVICE -> $2.00. That alone would make you smile, make you remember there is a madness and a buzz to the city, the random events and encounters of the day can also be amazing and exhilarating.

So, $2.00, a 6-min chat with this Genius Kid Entrepreneur, no skin off anyone’s nose and actually fairly certain to make your day better.

So, 11-year-old Ciro Ortiz’s idea, as you can imagine, has been working out very profitable.

if you need a little advice about a life problem, just someone to hear you out, some support and encouragement…. He is there for you!

Ciro says he was bullied when he was younger, he knows how it feels to be down. He decided he wanted to be a counselor and convinced his parents that he was wise enough to do so!

So, they let him set up the table, 2 hours every Sunday (so it is legal). He goes to Bedford L-train subway platform in Brooklyn with his set-up, either at 12:00 to 14:00 or 14:00 to 18:00.

The venture is brightening up people’s days and making him around $50 per week

And the amazingness doesn’t stop there! He is already giving back. ALL his profits go to help kids at school who can’t afford to buy snacks or lunch. WOAH!

He said many of the other kids just don’t get it and “Everyone needs help sometimes,” he says. “You can’t get through life without help.”
