At a grocery store in Memphis, Tennessee a black man was standing behind a white woman in line who had a lot coupons and began to get frustrated, as someone probably would when they have a few items and have to wait 20 minutes for one person to check out. Megan Wilson, the couponing mom holding up the line said that after expressing his frustration about how long she was taking the man standing behind her attacked her.

As she was leaving Wilson told the police she “accidentally” spilled her drink on the man behind her and he just attacked her. But as the police began to investigate the situation they saw video footage from Kroger’s showing Wilson intentionally throwing her drink on the man behind her and yes the man did push her afterward.

The police are currently looking for the man for questioning.

Although this is nothing new to us, it is good to have these accounts on camera. Black men are often criminalized throughout the mainstream media which creates a false perception of black men to the masses. When black men are falsely accused of crimes with little to no evidence of their guilt they still get the short end of the stick.
