New York Giants player Nikita Whitlock’s home was smashed into by burglars on Tuesday night. Whilst it’s bad enough that valuable items were stolen, they also graffitied his home with racist slurs and phrases.
“Go back to Africa” and “KKK” and swatistikas were scrawled on the walls of the New Jersey home that he shares with his wife and two kids. Maybe even more chilling, the word “Trump” was also present!
Whitlock wrote to Instagram:
“Racism is real and instead of close to home this time they came inside,”
“My family is safe but we are saddened by the hate. Thanks to the Moonachie Police Department for all of your help!”
Jewelry and electronics were taken but many valuables were actually left. Sadly for the family, this is the second break-in in just a few weeks. Their old home had also been broken into.
Whitlock told CBS New York.
“It’s about to be 2017,.. Oppression, racism, hatred, violence, there’s no need for that.”
We hope they get to the bottom of this terrible incident.
