The situation in North Dakota surrounding the controversial pipeline is getting worse and worse. It seems that the objections of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and their supporters is going unheard and the protesters are being treated worse and worse.
We need to keep pressure, to protest and make sure that the native peoples land is not violated. The pipeline was already redirected so it wouldn’t affect the water of richer, mostly white, folks elsewhere.
Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving has spoken out. On Tuesday he tweeted
@KyrieIrving
I say we should show solidarity, join him and try and really make sure that Obama does something about this before he leaves. We can’t really count on Trump to even hear them out, the violence may well get worse.
My prayers and thoughts are with everyone protesting at Standing Rock, I am with you all. #NoDAPL Defend the Sacred.
