Colin Kaepernick is not seeking anyone’s approval and is not concerned about ruffling feathers.
Feathers need to be ruffled, people need to be uncomfortable.
Which is why the Black Panther Party t-shirt he wore during a press conference after his second start spoke volumes.
And of course he’s still sporting the big afro.
Some may say these are gestures for change but regardless of how small some may think they are, these gestures are screaming for change.
Kaepernick and his teammates Eli Harold and Eric Reid are continuing their slight protest of the National Anthem with dignity. Hopefully more Americans will begin to understand that the American flag and the National Anthem mean different things to different people.
We all don’t receive fair and equal treatment although we all deserve it.
