2017’s Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame nominations have been announced!

And Tupac Shakur has been nominated, in his first eligible year! He better get it, even though he has some strong competition from other first timers. These include Pearl Jam, Journey, Jane’s Addiction and Depeche Mode. Personally, Pearl Jam are close runners but hey, those guys are still touring and they’ll get another chance!

It used to be that old white rockers dominated the Hall but in recent years some variety has been added and now many hip hop artists have adorned the walls. Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, Run-D.M.C., Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, and N.W.A. all have spaces, Tupac would be great company for them.

Artists become elibable under current rules, 25 years after their debut recording. Tupacs debut album was 2Pacalypse Now  released in 1991. His first single was “Brenda’s Got a Baby” let’s go down memory land and listen below:

Earlier this year N.W.A. Are Inducted Into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame By Kendrick Lamar.
