A new chatbot named Sandy Speaks, named after the Education and Activism videos of Sandra Bland has been launched as an artistic project to help educate on about surveillance, prison and police brutality.

The bot, created by an artist named American Artist, imagines Sandy is still breathing, behind bars.

And that she is continuing her work done through her ‘Sandy Speaks’ video via chat, whilst behind bars.

You can ask her questions, she greets you ‘Good morning Queen/King! I’m Sandy Speaks. What’s your name?’ and off you go. You can use the bot below:

Of course, there are some questions regarding this project. I can’t see if Bland’s family ok’d this project and someone else speaking for Sandy may seem disrespectful.
