Oh my good god, Kaepernick is making waves with such a simple action!
So many people are showing support and now Philadelphia Eagles rookie Myke Tavarres has decided to join in the protest action.
Colin Kaepernick has pledged that he will not stand for the anthem for the remainder of the season and now with Tavarres joined we wonder how many more will join the action. THIS IS BIG! And shows just how much dialog a single man can create by taking a single action.
Tonight at the New York Jets matchup Tavarres says he will not stand. During an interview with ESPN, talking about why he stood last game, he said
“Oh, I thought about it. Believe me, I definitely thought about it.
And usually I’m front and center on the line with the rest of the guys,”
He went onto say
“Saturday’s game, I stepped back, I was in the background, and it didn’t feel right to me at all, and so I will be taking a stand – or sitting down – for the fourth game.”
WORD!
He carried on and said
“We’ve got an issue in this country in this day and age, and I feel like somebody needs to step up and we all need to step up,… There’s just a lot going on that people don’t want to talk about, and I feel like us as athletes, we’re looked at as role models.
”
This is awesome, how many more will join!
