There’s no denying the fact that Michelle Obama has accomplished a lot during her stint as first lady of the United States. For nearly eight years, Michelle stood by her husband Barack and dutifully performed her duties.
For her efforts, she will go down in history as one of the most beloved first ladies to ever occupy the White House. However, when asked what she believes is her proudest achievement while in the White House, Michelle was quick to answer that it would be raising her two daughters.
During an interview with Oprah Winfrey at the recently concluded United State of Women Summit, Michelle said she is most proud of her daughters, Malia and Sasha.
Michelle acknowledged the work she did as first lady. These include supporting military families, promoting better nutrition for American children, and helping fund initiatives that aim to provide accessible and high-quality education for girls around the world.
She said she’s very proud of these accomplishments but raising her daughters well remains as her most prized achievement. Malia just graduated from high school and is expected to attend Harvard University in the fall of 2017.
Sasha, on the other hand, will be entering her sophomore year in high school soon.
