In 2013 the death of Kendrick Johnson was reported widely This sad loss was made worse by the fact that his body was found inside a rolled-up wrestling mat at his Georgia high school. Of course people wanted to know who killed him but the death was a mystery.

Now, I am sure his family are feeling an incredible blow as it’s being reported that no charges will be filed by the DOJ (Department of Justice).

A release from the DOJ read,

“After extensive investigation into this tragic event, federal investigators determined that there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that someone or some group of people willfully violated Kendrick Johnson’s civil rights or committed any other prosecutable federal crime. Accordingly, the investigation into this incident has been closed without the filing of federal criminal charges,”

Local investigators still say the death was an accident and his family claim it was a murder.

As to how a teen ends up dead wrapped in a wrestling mat by accident, that is confusing as hell to me! The official explanation is that he died trying to retrieve a shoe!

His family says they will not give up.
