Very very sad, RIP to a legendary woman and the mother of one of the best.

Sadly Afeni Shakur Davis has passed away at just 69.

On Monday a bout 9:34 pm the Marin County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a family member of a possible cardiac arrest at Davis’ Sausalito home.

Sadly she passed away and the exact cause of death is still under investigation.

In March we wrote about the amazing woman saying:

“She was bon in 1947 and became a businesswoman, philanthropist and political activist. She was also a Black Panther!

Famously she defended herself after she was accused of being involved in various bombings as part of the Panthers.

After her son’s death she used money from his charity to help support young artists and continues to do so to this day.

She lectures and gives inspiration to many!”

She had a tough life and trouble with drugs but came clean in 1991 after her son Tupac was gunned down. However, despite her issues, she focused on raising her son as best as she could.
