Pope Francis made a bold statement by washing and kissing the foot of a black muslim in order to show the entire world that we all worship the same God. He broke the Catholic tradition of Holy Thursday which is a ritual of him kissing the feet of twelve catholic men. However, Pope Francis claims he is of the people, not just catholic people.

He broke tradition in order to show the world that we all brothers and sisters regardless of faith, color, and etc. He claims we are all children of God. Pope Francis stated we all need to live in peace and the only way to do this is by integration. I can say without a doubt that Pope Francis is different than the rest. Kudos for that. But I guess my question is outside of these gestures, how has any pope really helped the people?
