Daquan Minor’s entire life was turned upside down when at just 18 he suffered a car accident leaving him paralyzed from the waist down.
He was into sports and even was just leaving the gym when his car flipped 5 times.
He arrived at Texas’s TIRR Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Hospital with no feeling below his waist. It’s taken more than two years to bring him to a stage where he is taking steps again.
He was even able to walk the stage to get his high school diploma.
He still has a long long recovery but he obviously values the work that has been done with him and has decided to give back. He now spends much of his free time volunteering for TIRR. He helps and talks to other patients and now has dreams of being an occupational therapist.
