People are still talking about Beyoncé’s Super Bowl performance and how she left so many people rattled because she didn’t just put on a performance she left people with something to think about. Well the police are still mad. Recently we found out that Miami, Tampa and Tennessee police are boycotting Beyoncé’s concert, they have vowed not to work security at or purchase tickets to her concert.
Instead of protecting and serving during Beyoncé’s concert as police officers are expected to do, despite any personal feelings towards individuals they are choosing not to. Which kind of solidifies the fact that police do what they want to, when they want to.
Beyoncé has nothing to worry about because Minister Louis Farrakhan insisted that the Fruit of Islam and the Nation of Islam’s security sector will volunteer to help Beyoncé by providing security for her during her Formation tour.
Looks like we are all falling into Formation. Not that I didn’t believe that someone would step up and help Beyoncé with security, I just wasn’t excepting it to be the Nation of Islam. This really speaks volume about how we need to work together.
I’ve seen a lot of black people speaking negatively about Beyoncé and her performance because her hair was blonde, she was wearing a weave, she was dressed inappropriately. But what about the message she delivered?
The leader of the Nation of Islam said despite all that we understand and appreciate what you did and we got you. I hope some of you take a page out of his book and stop being so righteous. I wonder what Beyoncé’s response will be?
