Restaurant week is over and it seems that almost none of Chicago’s estimated 300 black owned restaurants participated in the annual ritual! BUT did you know a black restaurant week has started in Chicago and it’s happening NOW to promote those restaurants.

The Black Restaurant Week event has been started by social media specialist Lauran Smith who wants to spotlight black owned restaurants in the city and provide great deals to get customers trying these places out.
