You are probably thinking there isn’t a place, but you would be wrong. There is and i’m just as surprised as you are. These days it seems only the negative, outrageous and trendy get attention in the black community, but those days are behind us.

MotivationalRap.com is a website that was brought to my attention and I thought it was worthy of yours. Frankly, I don’t have much information about who is behind the website, their motivation or how long they have been doing this, but I like what I have seen thus far.

Although there are only 48 videos currently on the website (as of this writing), the concept is outstanding. MR positions itself as a portal to positive entertainment.

Hopefully, people will give it a chance to win them over as fans so it can counterbalance some of the ludacris fights, videos and images put out by the likes of World Star Hip Hop.

The website is simple and straightforward to use. Click on a video to watch and be inspired by the positive entertainment given or you can submit your own video. The Submit Video button at the top allows those interested to submit their name, information and link to their video. If they like the video, i’m assuming the will share it on their website.

Great idea and we wish the people behind Motivational Rap the best in this endeavor. This is definitely a platform much needed in our community and we are hoping for the best. (We did reach out to the MR team via their contact form, but didn’t get a response before print)

But ultimately, the question becomes will the black community support the Motivational Rap platform for positive entertainment? We are always talking about wishing there were more positive outlets for us and our young people to enjoy, but we don’t support them.

If we don’t, it will go away like all the others who have tried to spread positive messages to our people.

However, if we do, then we will have another positive asset in the community to guide and inspire our young people to seek their greatness.
