Surprise, surprise, a Florida Sheriff and police officer claimed something different happened during the stop and arrest of Jamell Adamson than they eyewitnesses on the scene.
This story is all too familiar in our community when it comes to the police.
Martin County Florida Sheriff William Snyder said Monday there is “absolutely no evidence” Jamelle Adamson was beaten by Deputy William Jaques. The Sheriff did an interview saying, He (Adamson) made it clear he wasn’t going to surrender peacefully, so the deployment of that taser was 100% within our guidelines.”
But did it really happen the way the deputy claimed?
Deputy Jaques says he pulled over 31 year old Adamson for having expiring tags and running a red light.
However, when he tried to arrest Adamson, he pushed his arm and tried to flee the scene. At this point, he fired his taser, which rendered Adamson’s body limp, he fell and hit a low concrete wall…
thus the facial injuries.
However, is that the entire story? There are always two sides.
[ADSENSE2]Adamson’s family members are not buying the version the police are giving, but aren’t willing to speak on camera as of yet.
“We have eyewitnesses. He was beating and beating him,” Adamson’s sister, Lahareesha Mays, insisted.
In addition, Mays indicates the blood splashed on the concrete instead of the nearby wall the officer claims her brother hit his face on. She added, “He has a big gash on the back of his head, too. How did he get that?”
