The black community is constantly discussing the need to spend more of our annual $1.3 trillion dollars in expenditures with black businesses. Currently, we only spend somewhere in the neighborhood of 3%, but the knock has always been there aren’t enough essential businesses to fill the void.
Well, that discussion is over for at least one essential product to our everyday lives, toilet paper, or TP as it is famously called.
Freedom Paper Company, LLC is a black owned paper business that not only supplies toilet paper essential to our survival, but a host of other essential cleaning based supplies and will deliver it to your door. Based out of Baltimore, Maryland, the company has been involved in the movement against police brutality and the injustice black people are facing around the country, as it is all of our duties to stand up.
If you order a 48 roll of toilet tissue, the company will donate 10% to the family of Mr. Freddie Gray, the unarmed young man brutally beaten to death by the Baltimore police department.

Kamose Muhammad, CEO said “It is the idea of economic development, creating local jobs and engaging youth that makes the company representative of a new business paradigm for the 21st Century.”
We agree with Mr. Muhammad, but hopefully the collective consciousness of the people also understands this new business paradigm that needs them to participate as well.
The people need to understand that supporting black businesses with their hard earned money will only create jobs, opportunity, and economics, education and more for the black community.
The transformation we are seeking will not happen overnight, but from a series of small decisions like this one to support and shop with black owned businesses like the Freedom Paper Company.
Toilet paper may not seem like the frontier of the revolution, but a revolution cannot be carried out without a lot of TP.
