“They Are Still Our Slaves’ – A White Man’s Perspective On Black People

AFRICANGLOBE – For those of you who heard of it, this is an article Dee Lee was reading on a New York radio station. For those of you who didn’t hear it, this is very deep. This is a heavy piece and a Caucasian wrote it.

“They Are Still Our Slaves”

We can continue to reap profits from the Blacks without the effort of physical slavery. Look at the current methods of containment that they use on themselves: IGNORANCE, GREED, and SELFISHNESS.

Their IGNORANCE is the primary weapon of containment. A great man once said, “The best way to hide something from Black people is to put it in a book.

slaveWe now live in the Information Age. They have gained the opportunity to read any book on any subject through the efforts of their fight for freedom, yet they refuse to read. There are numerous books readily available at Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon. com, not to mention their own Black Bookstores that provide solid blueprints to reach economic equality photo (which should have been their fight all along), but few read consistently, if at all.

GREED is another powerful weapon of containment. Blacks, since the abolition of slavery, have had large amounts of money at their disposal. Last year they spent 10 billion dollars during Christmas, out of their 450 billion dollars in total yearly income (2.22%).

[ADSENSE2]

Any of us can use them as our target market, for any business venture we care to dream up, no matter how outlandish, they will buy into it. Being primarily a consumer people, they function totally by greed. They continually want more, with little thought for saving or investing.

They would rather buy some new sneakers than invest in starting a business. Some even neglect their children to have the latest Tommy or FUBU, and they still think that having a Mercedes, and a big house gives them “Status” or that they have achieved their Dream. They are fools! The vast majority of their people are still in poverty because their greed holds them back from collectively making better communities.

With the help of BET, and the rest of their Black media that often broadcasts destructive images into their own homes, we will continue to see huge profits like those of Tommy and Nike. (Tommy Hilfiger has even jeered them, saying he doesn’t want their money, and look at how the fools spend more with him than ever before!). They’ll continue to show off to each other while we build solid communities with the profits from our businesses that we market to them.

SELFISHNESS, ingrained in their minds through slavery, is one of the major ways we can continue to contain them. One of their own, Dubois said that there was an innate division in their culture.”Talented Tenth” he called it. He was correct in his deduction that there are segments of their culture that has achieved some “form” of success. However, that segment missed the fullness of his work. They didn’t read that the “Talented Tenth” was then responsible to aid The Non-Talented Ninety Percent in achieving a better life.

Instead, that segment has created another class, Buppie class that looks down on their people or aids them in a condescending manner. They will never achieve what we have. Their selfishness does not allow them to be able to work together on any project or endeavor of substance.

When they do get together, their selfishness lets their egos get in the way of their goal. Their so-called help organizations seem to only want to promote their name without making any real change in their community.

They are content to sit in conferences and conventions in our hotels, and talk about what they will do, while they award plaques to the best speakers, not to the best doers. Is there no end to their selfishness? They steadfastly refuse to see that TOGETHER EACH ACHIEVES MORE (TEAM)

They do not understand that they are no better than each other because of what they own , as a matter of fact, most of those Buppies are but one or two pay checks away from poverty. All of which is under the control of our pens in our offices and our rooms.

Yes, we will continue to contain them as long as they refuse to read, continue to buy anything they want, and keep thinking they are “helping” their communities by paying dues to organizations which do little other than hold lavish conventions in our hotels. By the way, don’t worry about any of them reading this letter, remember, ‘THEY DON’T READ!!!!

So much of this letter is true no doubt, but so much of it is false and misses the bigger problems in society. Surely, many Black people don’t read…but many more White people don’t, either! Definitely Black people spend an enormous amount of money on bling bling, think they are living a free life, and are in deep debt. But what about middle class White people? Are Black people the only “group” in severe debt!? Hell No. Are all the commercials on TV geared selectively to subliminally, unconsciously make Black people buy things and get some false sense of fulfillment, then after a few days/weeks/months that emptiness resurfaces and needs to be filled once again by the whatever the advertisers/marketers tell us will give us fulfillment and sense of unique individuality!?!? Of course not, those adds and the human addiction to consumerism is shared by many ethnic groups, Blacks, Whites, Asians, Latinos, etcetera!!

Certainly, there are things we need to do as individuals and collectively as Black people, absolutely! But if we are continually talking shite about ourselves and not looking at the bigger societal picture of the problems and what’s really going on…a few ultra rich men/women are manipulating the broad U.S. population to the detriment of us-to the benefit of themselves, we are not going to solve the problems that collectively all ethnic groups need to solve together individually and collectively.

This is sad but true…..the thing that hurts the most is that there is nothing we can do about the way others choose to live. We can start in our own homes teaching our children.

The term he used “deeply ingrained in their minds through slavery” is something that most of us seem not to be willing to address. For instance many of arguments have taken place among us about whether or not the Willie Lynch letter in a lie,or if the writer is black white, from the age of slavery or the modern age. When the fact is every facet of that letter is being daily perpetuated in our Black social behavior with each other in every facet of our choice making and problem solving.Instead of brainstorming a defense and ultimate dismantling of this letters methods of making self perpetuating slavery, many of us recognize these method being played out among our people but offer no solutions that can and have to be individually upheld among the entire BlackBrotherHood. All the psychological ploys in this letter, through slavery have been deeply ingrained in our psychics and must be addressed by us. In addressing the selfishness the writer spoke of is also supplanted in us via higher learning as some would call it,but I question just how high is this learning when collectively all the Black entertainers in HollyWood,Sports, and Music with all their various degrees are so dumb and selfish that they can not realize the only thing they need to do is have a fund raiser dinner to get Morris Brown free of their financial liabilities.these moneies could have been raised in less than a week were it not for the selfish ” I GOT MINE YOU GET YOUR’s ” attitude. As it is The college is being peaced away bit by bit due to our people not suppoerting our learning institute. As well Collectively they have not purchased not one manufacturing company that employs 95% Black labor as the other races do for their people to keep them employed and circulating money among themselves.

The thing that he said that really hit home is this: that we as a people do not put aside some of our earnings to invest in a business or to make more money. I think that alot of poor people are guilty of this for two reasons; 1) that they need each dime to make their current budget, and 2) they don’t have any role models in their lives who own viable businesses. Also, we are not taught money management and business practices when we are young enough for it to become part of who we are. However, it is never too late to learn new things and we need to empower ourselves to make the necessary changes for success. I haven’t given up the notion that with perseverance and practice that I will be successful. Before now I was too busy trying to make someone else rich. I’ve never been much of a shopper and fortunately I love to read! Somehow on some strange level I don’t think we allow ourselves to be prosperous because we don’t think we deserve it. I guess in a sense that this is a form of modern day slavery.

I myself have even suggested to seek help from my own to help invest in opportunities such as a non profit organization for youth and for a childcare that I am trying to get off the ground. I have done things like post that I am seeking an investor in the amount of $1250 with a return of $750. I got not a response, I mean even if you get other people in it to divide the amount for everybody to walk away with something is increase right? If our people would use these kinds of strategies and save their money for these opportunities we could sustain.

Personally, I believe everything in this letter is true. I also believe by now we are all aware of the fact that blacks and whites are still not treated equally. However, coming together as one to go against the whites will never help us because the division of race did not start there in the first place. We need to understand that CAPITALISM is the root of racial inequality. I know most people will read this and not understand what I’m trying to say, and many will think I’m insane. I only hope there is one person out there who will read this, and at least do some research on this because we can’t come out victorious when we don’t even know who’s our true enemy.

I believe that the depiction leaves out racial cleansing. Our purchases are minimal compared to how many of our people are in privatization of the prison system. Let’s not forget that our children are learning although they constantly have the fears others are not faced with. Protecting ourselves when we drive, something that simple. We automatically have the high alert pressure just getting to elementary schools. Collectively the system was never built to protect our people. Organizers are at work. Our people find ways to help each other. We may live check to check but even our poorest communities make sure our neighbors can eat when their neighbors cannot afford food. We are naturally forgiving and strong. We love deeply and hard. We take care of our elderly, we listen and provide to all people. I knew this is about being better and as one but this article left out the fact that we are better now and getting stronger every day. We have no choice but to make one culture. Mixing all people until there is one mind. The planet is under siege and everyone that does not work to save it will no longer have healthy foods and sustainable living. You all are not far in front of us because we are on your heels. Lastly, technology will decide all people so get ready to be introduced to not only black slavery and white slavery but all slavery.

Yes, it’s true. A lot of it is true. We also have people trying to start businesses and achieve more, but debt and credit play a mass part. We as a whole won’t join together to help each other. We don’t March or fight Like our ancestors did. We lay dormant and accept things that we can change as a unit. Stop buying their products, stop spending in their stores. Stop buying their cars. Invest in real estate, open our own stores. If we all just joined together and stopped spending for a month, they would go broke. We have more power than we realize. They’re scared of us more than we realize. We dominate every sport. We built every building. We started this land along with the natives. We have more inventors that started our history. Fight for African History to be taught in schools. We accept too much without a fight. It took white children to get gunned down and now they want gun control. Our children getting murdered by police and we stand by and don’t want to March. We have to stick together.

We will never bring about change as long as we keep passing the truth off as, what about the others that do it to. Let the others realize their own faults, and we face up to own truth of what need in own race to overcome. It’s time to accept the truth and lead by examples for a better future for our children, and stop living the lies that have the race stuck at the bottom. (M)aking (B)lack (R)ace (G)reater (M)pvement – Leading By Examples !!!
