Many in the community feel this confederate flag discussion is a merely a distraction, maybe it is, but you cannot ignore it is bringing that nasty element in this country to the forefront. They have been hidden behind the veil of multiculturalism, political correctness, but the burying of the Confederate flag is piercing the veil.
They are back out in the open, the racist that would prefer if you were still property.
They are emboldened by this “controversy” and are taking it to the streets across the country.
Yesterday, as President Obama, the first black POTUS, arrived at his hotel in Oklahoma for his trip to a federal prison, white people held up the Confederate battle flag.
These people have no shame, but we know who they are and what they are all about.
No need to argue or even discuss, but it is time to organize.
This may be a distraction issue, but it is also one we can use to wake up our community. We can rally their outrage, frustration and energy into things that matter. Use that energy and propel us in the right direction.
What is the right direction?
SOUND OFF: What do you think of the Confederate flag being waived at the first black POTUS?
