Bill Clinton on Laws Keeping Black People In Jail Longer ‘I Signed a Bill That Made the Problem Worse’

Speaking at a NAACP convention in Philadelphia yesterday, Bill Clinton admitted to being wrong about the federal sentencing laws he signed and authorized. However, the black community has been well aware things became even worse because we bore the brunt of the jail time, broken families and crushed dreams.

[ADSENSE2] “I signed a bill that made the problem worse. And I want to admit it,” Clinton said at the 106th NAACP National Convention, which concluded Wednesday in Philadelphia. “In that bill, there were longer sentences, and most of these people are in prison under state law, but the federal law set a trend. And that was overdone; we were wrong about that.”

Knowing the black community is so forgiving, i’m pretty sure the Clinton’s counting on getting this out in the open and over with so you can put your vote behind Hillary….which I hope you don’t, but that’s another discussion.

SOUND OFF: What do you think of Clinton’s admission and timing?
