NAACP Bombing Suspect Sketch Released by the FBI

by | Jan 12, 2015 | News | 0 comments

If you were not plugged into alternative media outlets, you may have missed the news of a bombing attempt on the NAACP office in Colorado Springs, CO this past Tuesday. The mass media has been largely silent on the issue and the authorities have failed to call the bombing terrorism.

Fortunately, the homemade bombing device failed to explode properly only causing minor damages to the exterior of the building. None of the workers and volunteers inside the building were hurt in the attempt.

According to The Grio: FBI Special Agent in Charge Thomas Ravenelle said authorities drew the sketch of a bald white man with sunglasses based on accounts of witnesses who saw him place a device behind the building that houses the NAACP and a black-owned barbershop. The man returned to his truck and left as the device detonated.

There were no direct threats placed on the NAACP in the weeks leading up to the explosion and frankly, the FBI have no real motive on why someone would do such a thing. They do believe the bomb would not have caused major damage if it had exploded properly, but are said to not be taking the matter lightly.

Colorado Springs police are said to be stepping up their patrols in the area and will be on the lookout for the suspect in  question.
