By now, you have heard about the season premiere of Fox new show Empire. The stars of are Taraji P. Henson and Terrance Howard. It airs tonight, Wednesday, at 9pm EST.
The show is about hip hop mogul family on top of the game battling with internal issues as they take on the world. Cookie, Taraji P. Henson, gets out of jail and is coming back for her position and part of the company while Terrence Howard character fights to keep the empire afloat.
The concept has been done before, so there isn’t anything original, but a bit of controversy was stirred when 50 Cent decided to drop some of his commentary or thoughts about the new show being much like his show “Power”, which airs on Starz.
“POWER Season 2 is unbelievably good trust me. I have the best writers and show runner. I like Terrence howard and Taraji Henson. I don’t like that They would copy the Marketing,” said 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson.

As you would figure, 50’s words got back to the cast and crew of “Empire” and they didn’t take them very well. In fact, when asked how does she feel about what 50 had to say about her and Terrance Howard’s show, Taraji fired back.
“I pay attention to $’s NOT cents?”
Someone replied, “Ouch! No time for small change?”
Again Taraji fired back saying:
“IJS, I couldn’t even find the “cent” sign!! #ByeBitch #Empire
Is the beef over between these two? Who knows, but we do know both will be watching the ratings very closely to see who will have the last laugh.
Empire airs tonight, January 7th, at 9pm EST on FOX
